Everything you need to know about using SnipRelay.

Getting Started

What is SnipRelay?
SnipRelay is a bot for Discord and Telegram that lets you clip, trim, and share videos directly in your chat. Just paste a video URL, specify start and end times, and get a native video file delivered to your conversation. No more downloading files manually or using sketchy websites.
How do I add SnipRelay to my server?
For Discord: Click the 'Add to Discord' button on our homepage and select the server you want to add it to. You'll need 'Manage Server' permissions.

For Telegram: Search for @SnipRelayBot or click the 'Add to Telegram' button. You can use it in private chats or add it to groups.
How do I create my first clip?
Use the /snip command followed by the video URL and time range:

/snip https://youtube.com/watch?v=xyz 1:30 2:00

This clips from 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Time format supports MM:SS or HH:MM:SS.

Troubleshooting

My clip is taking too long. What's happening?
Clip processing time depends on:

• Video length and quality
• Source platform speed
• Current server load

Most clips complete in under 60 seconds. Use /status to check progress. If it's stuck, try canceling and resubmitting.
The bot isn't responding to my commands.
Try these steps:

1. Check our System Status page
2. Make sure you're using slash commands (/snip) not text commands
3. On Discord: Verify the bot has permissions in the channel
4. On Telegram: Make sure you started the bot with /start first

If issues persist, contact support.
I got 'File too large' error. What now?
Discord has file size limits (25MB for free servers, 50MB for boosted). We automatically optimize for these limits, but very high quality sources or long clips may exceed them.

Try:
• Shortening the clip duration
• Using /snipmute for visuals without audio
• Telegram supports larger files (50MB) if Discord limits are too restrictive
How do I link my Telegram account to my SnipRelay account?
To use Premium on Telegram:

1. Log in to your Dashboard (via Discord)
2. Go to Settings
3. Click 'Generate Telegram Link Code'
4. In Telegram, send /link to the bot

Your accounts are now linked and Premium benefits apply to both platforms.
